In November 2017, Holland Shipyards Group delivered two Diving Support Barges designed for various offshore works, including diving support operations in West-Africa.
Both barges, measuring 38 x 17 meters, were designed and built completely in-house, based on specific client requirements. A key characteristic for the barges is their multifunctionality and ease of operations and maintenance. With operations in remote areas, it is of paramount importance to select sturdy components and systems, that require little maintenance. The result of that development process are these two workhorses.
Each barge features various systems, amongst others, an in-field positioning system, a 4-point mooring system, a working winch, and a 5-ton deck crane.
The accommodation houses complete facilities for a crew up to 12 people, including a galley, change room and cabins with private sanitary facilities and a dive control room.
The barges will assist with in-field operations, such as anchor pulling and repositioning, jacket cleaning operations, diving operations, steel repairs and a wide variety of other works.
We do thank our client for the trust given and the pleaasant cooperation throughout the project.
